e. Click Start, and then click Run.

f. In the Open box, type regsvr32 shdocvw.dll.

Every time I open a tab some random website comes up “blogpear” something –and says cannot display web page. Ugghh!

I’m pretty sure I installed IE8 correctly b/c it has been working FINE until a few weeks ago.

    Any help?

  5. At Jason B:

Did you run your cmd as an Administrator?

  6. Yeah, I had the exact same issue.

Just a temporary fix for you – something i do…. when the particlar tab doesn’t work, click ‘new tab’, then type or ‘copy and paste’ the web address into the second tab, hit enter.
It always works for me right away.

(That said, I would like to have this sorted!)

  7. How can I do this in Windows 7? I get an error when I try to run regsvr32 shdocvw.dll

It say s “The module “shdocvw.dll” was not loaded but the entry-point DllRegisterServer was not found. make sure that “shdocvw.dll” is a valid DLL or OCX files and then try again”.

Does this mean that Windows 7 does not rely on this DLL?

I’m having the same problems with IE8 Tabs and would love to resolve this problem.

    Thanks for any feedback.
